With 20 years as a nonprofit organization executive leader, fundraiser and consultant - and 16 prior years working in social services as a social worker - Wendy has supported nonprofits of all sizes in the US and Canada. With a career that has spanned the social services and animal welfare worlds, as well as universities, Wendy has developed a special passion for serving smaller nonprofits that are struggling resource-wise, as well as a special connection to the "one welfare" approach: where human/community welfare is tied to animal and environmental welfare. Wendy has a special expertise in grant funding - everything from smaller foundations through to multi-million dollar federal and state grants - and expertise in strategic planning, branding and marketing of nonprofit organizations. She served as President of the Southern California Chapter of Grant Professionals Association as well as an involved member in the Association for Fundraising Professionals. All the aspects of organizational leadership including financial management, human resources, diversity, equity and inclusion policies, board development - are all services Wendy provides. Wendy has served as a Board member and as a donor so brings that experience and perspective as well as having worked at nonprofits. Having a special passion for the many smaller nonprofits that are doing wonderful and necessary work but who have a difficult time being able to access professional support (whether through in-house staff or consultants) to take them to the next level, Wendy is developing resources for you that will be accessible and affordable. As well, in the spirit of giving back, we do some pro bono work to help out some nonprofits to get that boost which will do so much to propel them forward. Wendy currently resides on the West Coast of Canada, immersed in the nonprofit world as well as enjoying gardening, photography and all the outdoors has to offer. Need support? Let's talk!
